Hello dear @flyswiss followers and welcome on board! My name is Jana, and I am delighted to be your Instagramer of the Month for March. I have worked for SWISS for 5 years, and as a First Class Galley Quality Specialist, I spend most of my time travelling the world on long-haul flights.
But first let me introduce myself: I grew up close to the city of Winterthur. As the daughter of a pilot and a former Swissair Flight Attendant, flying was part of my life even when I was young. During my childhood, I was occasionally allowed to accompany my father on a rotation and it was not long before I knew that I would also want to work for SWISS one day.
The inevitable happened in March 2015, when I started my Cabin Crew Member training. The many new impressions, the irregular working hours and dealing with different types of passengers on board, make the job extremely exciting. In November 2017, I was brave enough to take the next step, and applied to work in SWISS First. I am passionate about what I do, enjoying the individual service SWISS First provides and the interesting conversations I have with passengers.
The most fascinating aspect of flying for me is the teamwork. Whether on the ground or in the air. We work together in a new line-up on every flight, don’t forget. Flight Attendants have all sorts of different backgrounds, nationalities and experiences, which have to be moulded into a team during the briefing, to make sure that the flight goes smoothly and everyone knows what they have to do. We “fliers” are birds of a feather and share the same passion, making the sky the place to form true friendships and sometimes even find love.
So fasten your seat belts. I am looking forward to some great destinations such as Osaka and Bangkok, and to sharing glimpses of my everyday life with you.
