Dear @ flyswiss followers!
My name is Sibylle, and I come from lovely Oey-Diemtigen in the Bernese Oberland. I grew up there with my parents and two sisters. My family has always been my top priority, and without them I would not be where I am today.
Even as a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a flight attendant. When I turned 15 and had to decide what I was going to do professionally, I initially decided to qualify as an administrative assistant because I wanted to increase my language skills so I would one day be able to make my dream come true.
Two years after I qualified, one morning my mother suddenly turned up and dropped me off at the Swiss Cabin Crew Casting in Thun. Despite being incredibly nervous, I must have done something right because I have now been travelling the route for SWISS since March 2017 – and I really couldn’t be happier!
While I was still doing my basic training I met the love of my life, and a year later moved to St. Gallen to live in the city with him. My favourite way to spend my free time is with my family and friends in Oey-Diemtigen. Additionally, I love to spend my spare time skiing up in the mountains.
Thanks to working as a Cabin Crew, I have been fortunate enough to meet so many interesting people, be they passengers or colleagues. You’ll find me on the Airbus family and on the Boeing 777 – which has also enabled me to explore lots of lovely new places. The only destinations I haven’t yet been to are Narita (Tokyo) and Hong Kong. I can hardly wait to get to know these unique cities!
Until then, I look forward every month to receiving my work schedule, to seeing familiar faces down the line – and in particular to possibly being on the same rotation as my boyfriend.
I’m delighted to be able to give you an insight into my working day above the clouds in January.
