Yuejing Jean Ma, Reservation & Ticketing (Shanghai)
The new non-stop flight connects the heart of Europe with the heart of China. We are proud that more and more Chinese passengers will be able to enjoy the outstanding qualities of SWISS. This new flight means new challenges, a bigger workload and lots of pressure. But we promise to pay attention to every detail of our service and we will try our best to keep up the SWISS traditions.
Come on, white cross above the clouds!
Jing Jessica Sun, Sales Representative (Shanghai)
It is a more attractive product for business travellers. SWISS will have a really combinable product in China. The Chinese market is one of the most important markets in the world. Beijing, as the capital of China, will bring SWISS more and more government-related business.
This new flight means more challenges and more opportunities to develop corporate accounts and work closely with government business clients.
The most important thing to do until the inaugural flight is to keep making a good profit in China (Shanghai route) and we will try our best to make it for the Beijing flight!

"Spain is different" – according to a German colleague who fell in love with Madrid
My name is Martin and I am responsible for SWISS Sales and Servicing for Spain and Portugal. Four years ago I came to Madrid to spend a semester improving my Spanish skills. During this time I fell in love with Spain and ended up staying here. A year ago I joined the SWISS team in Madrid. I feel very proud to be part of this quality airline, especially since I am an absolute aviation enthusiast. The airline industry is very dynamic and fast moving, which means that people have to be very flexible and have to constantly adapt to new circumstances. Looking back at the last year, SWISS in Spain increased its flights between Switzerland and Spain and our team has worked hard to publicize all this fantastic news. On 17 December we introduced two daily flights between Madrid and Geneva and our existing double-daily flights from Barcelona to Geneva were increased by a third frequency. This was fantastic news for all ski and snowboard fans as it means we bring Switzerland even closer to Spain. At the same time, implementing the new flights meant a lot of work for me and my colleagues. In addition, strong demand on the new Valencia-Zurich route led to a second daily flight between Zurich and Valencia. From Valencia, travellers can connect to the world via Zurich, which is a very convenient airport for shopping and one where you can actually enjoy transferring ;-). By the way, during this summer we will add a third flight.

After his amazing success with a cover version of “Ayo Technology” and a remarkable debut album, the Belgian singer-songwriter Milow returns with his new album "North and South"! He has also compiled an exclusive musical mix for SWISS, containing his most favourite songs and own hits. In the interview with SWISS, the likable singer talks about his musical adventure which awaits the listeners on his music channel as well as on the new album.
How did you came up with the name “Milow” and what does it stand for?
I choose that name some years ago as it is short and concise, I also wanted it to sound international. “Milow” hasn’t got a special meaning, but my given name Jonathan Vandenbroeck would have been a bit impractically.
