The new SWISS Lounge near Non-Schengen Gates D in Dock B opened on 1 December. Relax in a cozy atmosphere in the new SWISS Lounge D while waiting to board your flight.
In addition to the SWISS Lounge Center located near Gates A in the Schengen area, SWISS now also has a lounge in the Non-Schengen area near Gates D in rebuilt Dock B.
Zurich Airport opened its new infrastructure and the modern Dock B on 1 December, which is why we wanted to be ready for our guests to enjoy the new lounge in Dock B.
It was an ambitious goal to be ready on 1.12 considering that it was as recently as the end of March this year when the request for this investment was presented to the SWISS Management Board. In keeping with its permanent commitment to providing air travelers with maximum comfort and service throughout their journey, SWISS decided to build a new lounge and started with the construction at the end of May 2011. After 6 months of intense work the new facility opened on schedule.
The 650 m2 lounge (the former LH lounge) has been completely rebuilt and is located conveniently close to the Gates D just after passport checkpoint. The new facility is available to SWISS First or Business travellers as well as to Star Gold or HON Circle members departing to a non-Schengen destination from Gates D.
Whether you prefer to relax in the lounge area on a comfortable Vitra chair or enjoy a bite to eat in the spacious bright bistro at a bar table that offers a fascinating view of the pulsating activity on the airport apron, you will be able to do so in the spacious and stylish new lounge. A dedicated e-corner with computer workstations and free internet access allows you to catch up with e-mails before departure. In terms of appearance the space incorporates the SWISS lounge design elements such as the typical SWISS stone wall as one particular highlight. Discover it personally during your next visit and I hope we can make your waiting time a pleasant stay!
